Baltimore, MD – The Baltimore police have released images of individuals they are seeking in connection to a recent shooting at Morgan State University (MSU) during the homecoming celebrations. The incident, which occurred on October 3rd, left five people wounded. Among the injured were four students at MSU, and they were all taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The shooting took place at approximately 9:25 p.m. on the MSU campus, causing panic among students, alumni, and their families who were gathered for homecoming festivities.

The Baltimore Police Department has shared photos of two men they wish to speak with regarding the incident. They are seeking assistance from the public in identifying these individuals. The pictures highlight two Black men, both wearing black hoodies and black shoes. One of the men is dressed in ripped blue jeans, while the other has darker-colored jeans and a shoulder bag.

When the shooting occurred, it was initially described as an “active shooter situation” due to shattered windows in the vicinity. MSU issued a shelter-in-place order just before 10:20 p.m., which was lifted at 12:23 a.m. once the police confirmed that the situation was no longer an active threat.

Morgan State University, founded in 1867 as the Centenary Biblical Institute, is a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) with approximately 9,000 enrolled students.
