Man in Custody After Woman’s Mysterious Death in Sydney’s Liverpool
Three months after the tragic discovery of a young mother’s lifeless body, a significant breakthrough has been made in the case. Tatiana ‘Tania’ Dokhotaru, 34, was found deceased in her unit on Norfolk Street in Liverpool, southwest Sydney, on the fateful evening of May 27.
Early this Monday, the New South Wales Police made an arrest that could lead to answers. A 28-year-old man, whose identity is under wraps for now, was apprehended. The long arm of the law also paid a visit to his home in St Clair for a closer look. The gentleman in question has been relocated to Penrith Police Station, where he’s participating in police inquiries. As it stands, no charges have been brought against him.

In an interesting twist, security footage emerged last week, revealing what appears to be a phone taking a nosedive out of the 34-year-old’s apartment window right around midnight on May 26. Oddly enough, this phone has pulled a disappearing act and remains unrecovered. Detectives are on the lookout for anyone who may have stumbled upon the sneaky gadget, particularly in the vicinity of Norfolk or Bathurst streets. A smartphone playing hide-and-seek – who’d have thought?
The plot thickens. A delegation of detectives hopped over to Canada recently for a sit-down with Ms. Dokhotaru’s family. Clearly, they’re not leaving any stones unturned. Back on home turf, they’re keeping a magnifying glass on her life and the folks she hung out with.
Hold on, there’s more. Another investigation is happening in parallel, with the aim of cracking the enigma surrounding the entire incident.
Stay tuned for updates. And if you’ve seen a rogue smartphone around those parts, consider yourself a prime suspect. 🕵️♂️
