Adoptive Parents Charged with Felony Neglect After Children Found in Distressing Conditions
In a distressing incident unfolding in West Virginia, two adoptive parents are facing serious charges of felony neglect. This comes after authorities discovered two children confined in a cramped barn and another child in an unsafe loft within an adjacent home. The parents faced their arraignment on Tuesday, with charges of gross child neglect that posed a substantial risk of injury. Sheriff’s deputies from Kanawha County took swift action and forcibly entered the barn, where they found a young boy and girl confined in a small room. Upon the return of the adoptive parents, they were promptly arrested and are currently held in custody with a $200,000 cash bond.
