Active Murderer Influencer on TikTok Raises Concerns Amid Jail Term

TikTok Account of Murder-Involved Influencer Still Active Amid Controversy

Despite her connection to a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of two individuals, the TikTok account belonging to influencer Mahek Bukhari remained active as of yesterday. The case revolves around a plot she devised to silence Saqib Hussain, 21, who had blackmailed her using compromising videos.

In the course of events, Mahek Bukhari, 23, alongside her mother Ansreen, 45, organized a meeting in a Tesco parking lot. Their intentions were to orchestrate an attack on Hussain by enlisting others to confront him. Tragically, this confrontation led to a chase involving two cars with eight individuals, including the Bukhari duo. The pursuit ended in a devastating accident that resulted in the death of Hussain and his friend Hashim Ijazuddin, as their vehicle was rammed off the A46 near Leicester.

During the trial, Judge Timothy Spencer KC highlighted the concerning impact of social media, emphasizing how Bukhari’s pursuit of fame had engendered a self-absorbed disposition. It’s worth noting that even a month after her conviction, Bukhari’s TikTok profile remains “live” with a following of around 134,000 users.

Alison Cope, an advocate against violence who tragically lost her son to a stabbing incident in 2013, expressed strong disapproval of the situation. She stated, “This is unacceptable. Social media platforms must assume more responsibility.”

Consequences for the Bukhari family were significant. Mahek Bukhari was sentenced to at least 31 years in prison, while her mother received a minimum sentence of 26 years. Despite the gravity of the case, TikTok declined to provide any comment regarding the ongoing situation.
