Teen Attacked at McDonald’s, Viral Video Shock
In a troubling incident at a Southern California McDonald’s, a teenage girl faced a brutal attack, with bystanders choosing to record the ordeal instead of stepping in to help.
The Incident
Kassidy Jones, a 13-year-old student, recounted her harrowing experience at a fast-food restaurant on September 6, as she and her classmates stopped by after school. A woman she did not know cornered her and launched a physical assault, hurling abusive words at Kassidy.
The Attack Caught on Camera
Videos obtained by FOX 11 Los Angeles show the assailant dragging Kassidy to the floor, assaulting her with punches, and yanking her hair. Shockingly, rather than intervene, people at the McDonald’s in Los Angeles’ Harbor City neighborhood opted to record the incident on their phones.
The Sole Helper
Among the onlookers, only one person, reportedly with the suspect, attempted to assist Kassidy. Her mother promptly called the police and rushed her to the hospital, where photos taken afterward revealed her painful injuries, including swelling and bruises.
Heartbreaking Reaction
Kassidy Jones, speaking through tears to FOX 11, expressed her disbelief at the brutal assault. Her mother echoed these sentiments, sharing her shock that a fellow human could perpetrate such an act.
Investigation Underway
The Los Angeles Police Department is actively investigating the incident, although no arrests have been made thus far. According to CBS Los Angeles, the suspect is expected to face charges of child abuse and battery once apprehended.
Seeking McDonald’s Response
Fox News Digital has reached out to McDonald’s for comment but has not yet received a response.
The distressing incident highlights the importance of community solidarity and intervention when witnessing acts of violence.
